Gorge Walk

The iconic Gorge Walk is a must-do experience on Redlands Coast.

This 1.2 kilometre self-guided walk follows the rocky headlands of Point Lookout on North Stradbroke Island (Minjerribah) and is one of south-east Queensland's most spectacular coastal walks. Enjoy expansive headland views overlooking the Pacific Ocean on one side and coastal bushland and unique Australian wildlife, including kangaroos and wallabies, to the other.

While taking in the incomparable view, keep your eyes peeled for majestic marine life, including sea turtles, giant manta rays and dolphins riding the waves below. Between June and November each year, the Gorge Walk offers ideal vantage lookout points for land-based whale watching, where thousands of humpback whales can be spotted travelling the seas during their migration. This coastline is often referred to as the humpback highway.

The Gorge Walk is a truly magical experience to put at the top of your Minjerribah itinerary!
