Snorkelling and diving

Experience the beauty of southern Moreton Bay from beneath the water surface. The north side of Coochiemudlo Island, and Peel and Goat islands all offer good snorkelling and diving sites. While all require a boat trip to reach them, Coochie, as the locals call it, is accessible via passenger ferry from the Redlands Coast village of Victoria Point, and the north side of this tiny gem of an island is accessible by foot. The majestic North Stradbroke Island (Minjerribah) offers a range of renowned snorkelling and diving sites. Amity Point (Pulan) and Point Lookout (Mulumba) are both great for snorkelling. For an aquatic adventure to remember, connect with Manta Lodge and Scuba Centre for a boat out to Manta Bommie – a cleaning station for the graceful manta rays that visit from November to May each year, ranked as one of Australia’s top 10 dive sites.
