Alan is a self-taught artist of over 40 years’ experience who has resided on Minjerribah for 47 years. Painting mainly with acrylics on canvas, his realist style captures local landscape, seascape, still-life and other subjects. Alan considers himself lucky to enjoy his passion for painting in a place that he loves and respects immensely.

Jess has lived and worked on Minjerribah for 20 years. She visually transfers the patterns and colours she experiences in the natural environment to her drawings before printing the beautiful designs onto quality textiles. Her outdoor and indoor cushion covers, tea towels, table linen, T-shirts, baby wear and other homewares help visitors remember their own experience of the island.

Anaheke Metua is a proud Maori / Pacifica woman and contemporary weaver living and working on Minjerribah. Using traditional and contemporary weaving techniques from across the globe she combines the creation stories of her Polynesian ancestors, their intimate knowledge of the ocean, stars and plants of the South Pacific with her own observations of those elements experienced on Minjerribah.
